Since 2005, Calzavara has produced a series of corporate calendars that showcase the culture, history, and traditions of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The 2025 edition marks another step forward in this journey, focusing on the theme of biodiversity and the region’s wild nature, as seen through the lens of nature photographer Lorenzo Gottardo.
A passionate photographer and artist, Gottardo has captured the remarkable diversity of Friuli Venezia Giulia’s wildlife, ranging from alpine peaks to forests, hills, and coastal landscapes. His photographs feature emblematic local species such as the hare, fox, roe deer, chamois, ibex, stag, bear, pygmy owl, rock ptarmigan, European bee-eater, wallcreeper, Ural owl, and western capercaillie. These images invite reflection on the importance of protecting wildlife. Each photograph is accompanied by a personal story from Lorenzo Gottardo, who shares the experiences, challenges, and emotions he encountered during his photographic sessions, adding an intimate and engaging narrative to the calendar.
The 2025 edition is also the first in the series to receive FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification, a recognition of Calzavara’s commitment to environmental sustainability. This certification ensures that the calendar is made from responsibly sourced materials, meeting strict environmental and social standards. As a result, the calendar is not only an object of great aesthetic and functional value, but also a sustainable product that reflects Calzavara’s dedication to environmental protection.
The 2025 calendar stands out for its large format (100 cm x 33 cm), which enhances the visual impact of the photographs while providing a practical tool for daily use. It features both Italian and English dates, week numbers, saint of the day, and ample space for notes, making it ideal for both office and home use. The “Wild Nature FVG” calendar also makes for an exceptional and prestigious Christmas gift.
More than just a work of art and a functional tool, this calendar serves as a powerful awareness-raising instrument. Lorenzo Gottardo’s photographs celebrate the extraordinary biodiversity of Friuli Venezia Giulia, reminding us of the vital importance of preserving and protecting the ecosystems around us.
All proceeds from the sale of the calendar will be donated to the Terranova Wildlife Rescue Center in Gorizia, directly contributing to the conservation of wildlife.

The initiative to donate the proceeds to a charitable cause underscores an important principle: doing good is always the right choice. In a world marked by environmental and social challenges, every act of solidarity can make a difference.
Supporting causes like the Wildlife Rescue Center not only provides tangible help but also creates a virtuous cycle that inspires other businesses and individuals to contribute to the common good.
Contributing to charitable causes, such as the protection of wildlife, has a lasting impact, as it invests in the future of local communities and the planet itself.
Doing good not only improves the lives of others but also strengthens the sense of belonging and responsibility towards the world around us. Helping those in need, whether people or animals, is an act of great human value that fosters stronger bonds within society.
With this gesture, Calzavara goes beyond producing a corporate calendar and transforms a simple everyday object into a tool for positive change. This demonstrates how businesses, too, can play an active role in environmental protection and the support of charitable initiatives.
